Reflection 4

Information competency is the way of recovering information in a media manner. It is the ability to use the web to store, research and recover information that can also be found at libraries. I feel I am information competent after learning everything I have in this class. Skills that can be improved are feeling out databases and learning which ones work best for which research. Being information competent will make everything that needs to be learned in life easier. I enjoyed this class and I am excited to put it to good use in other classes.

  1. I see where being information competent can be a great advantage whether you are in the library field, or any other profession. It will certainly come in handy in the future searches one need to perform. I am certain we all will put this experience to good use in other classes.

  2. I have also learned a lot in this Library 3 class that has made me think that I am more information competent. As students, our whole life revolves around this very skill! To me, having informationcompetency is very important because if people have it, then they are people prepared for lifelong learning because they can always find the information needed for any task or decision that presents itself.
